Summary
An ambitious hospital president racing to build the world’s most advanced virus research lab begins receiving cryptic biblical texts from “Chris T” – just as a drone strike and growing conspiracy reveal that his life-saving project may actually unleash the next global pandemic.
Dr. Robert Hale is a highly respected hospital president known for his determination, leadership, and drive for success. As he promotes a new organ transplant wing designed to bring growth and financial stability to the hospital, his life takes an unexpected turn when he suffers a massive heart attack and dies during surgery.
During his death experience, Robert encounters a life-changing spiritual revelation. His life is reviewed, and he realizes that while he achieved professional success, he lost sight of what truly matters. Given the choice to remain in heaven or return to earth, Robert chooses to come back with a new mission—to redeem his life and focus on helping people rather than pursuing profit.
A New Mission
Upon returning, Robert begins to see the hospital—and the world around him—through a completely different lens. With the support of his wife Helen, his loyal partner Dr. Brian Carion, and a mysterious new Director of Admissions named Chris Targovoiyetsky (known as Chris T.), he begins working toward meaningful change.
Chris T. appears to possess unusual insight and wisdom, guiding Robert as he navigates his new calling and the challenges that come with it.
Conflict and Transformation
Robert’s transformation, however, threatens powerful interests within the hospital leadership. Chairman Thomas Bennett, who supports the hospital’s profit-driven direction, sees Robert’s new priorities as a risk to the organization’s future.
As tensions rise, Robert must stand firm in his new convictions and decide whether he will follow the path he believes God has given him—no matter the personal or professional cost.
